This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued on CommexAfrica.com, operated by Commodity Exchange and Supply Chain Limited (CESCL) (“Commex Africa”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

Commex Africa operates a B2B commodity marketplace and supply-chain facilitation platform. Due to the nature of commodities, services, and third-party involvement, refunds are limited and subject to the terms below.

By using the Platform, all users (buyers and sellers) agree to this Refund Policy.


1. GENERAL REFUND PRINCIPLE

Commex Africa facilitates transactions between independent buyers and sellers.
Unless expressly stated, Commex Africa is not the direct seller of commodities.

Refund eligibility depends on:

  • The type of transaction
  • The service involved
  • Compliance with platform rules
  • Evidence provided

2. NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS

The following payments are strictly non-refundable:

  1. Platform Commissions
  2. Verification Services Fees
  3. Quality Control & Inspection Fees
  4. Product Advertisement & Promotion Fees
  5. Data Processing & Analysis Fees
  6. Product Development & Marketing Fees
  7. Subscription or Membership Fees (if applicable)
  8. Administrative or Processing Fees

Once these services have commenced or been delivered, no refunds shall be issued.


3. REFUNDABLE TRANSACTIONS (LIMITED CASES)

Refunds may be considered only if:

  1. Payment Was Made but No Service Was Rendered
  2. Duplicate or Erroneous Payment
  3. Transaction Cancelled Before Fulfillment
  4. Seller Failure to Deliver (subject to investigation)
  5. Platform Error Directly Caused the Loss

All refund requests are subject to verification and approval.


4. COMMODITY PURCHASE REFUNDS

  • Commex Africa does not automatically refund commodity purchases.
  • Refunds for commodity transactions depend on:
    • Seller agreement
    • Contractual terms between buyer and seller
    • Inspection and verification outcomes
  • Disputes may be mediated but Commex Africa is not financially liable for seller defaults.

5. LOGISTICS & THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Payments made to:

  • Logistics providers
  • Inspectors
  • Warehousing services
  • Payment processors

are governed by the third party’s refund policy.
Commex Africa bears no responsibility for third-party refund decisions.


6. REFUND REQUEST PROCEDURE

To request a refund, users must:

  1. Submit a written request within 7 business days of the transaction
  2. Provide:
    • Transaction reference
    • Proof of payment
    • Reason for refund request
    • Supporting evidence
  3. Email request to: commex.africa@gmail.com

Incomplete requests may be declined.


7. REFUND REVIEW & TIMELINE

  • Refund requests are reviewed within 7–14 business days
  • Approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method
  • Processing time depends on banks or payment processors

8. PARTIAL REFUNDS

Where applicable, Commex Africa may issue partial refunds after deducting:

  • Administrative costs
  • Service fees already incurred
  • Third-party charges

9. DISPUTES & FALSE CLAIMS

  • Fraudulent refund claims may result in account suspension or termination
  • Commex Africa reserves the right to decline abusive or repeated refund requests

10. POLICY CHANGES

Commex Africa reserves the right to amend this Refund Policy at any time.
Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
